The effective provision of our services in the field is very dependent on the plant and equipment we use. All NQCEC plant and equipment is subject to a strict maintenance system, in compliance with legislation standards, manufacturers requirements and company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards, to ensure safety, reliability, and maximise customer satisfaction.

Health and Safety

NQCEC recognises that to provide an efficient and productive work environment, safety in the workplace is essential and is our #1 priority. The company is dedicated to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all our employee’s sub-contractors, clients, suppliers and the members of the public, and our aim is for a goal of zero incidents, accidents and injuries

NQCEC has an established Health and Safety Management System, specifically designed to address our operations, with full management commitment to the ongoing continuous improvement of the Health and Safety Management System, focusing on all safety issues that may affect our operations, we achieved this through effective consultation with employees and subcontractors monitoring of procedures and standards, audits and inspections.

The NQCEC Health and Management System is third party audited against and compliant AS/NZ 4801-2001.

NQCEC continually commits to promoting a strong safety culture to achieve our goal of zero incidents, accidents and injuries, this is reflected in our excellent safety performance indicators. Refer table below

Quality ASSURANCE

Our goal is to consistently deliver quality products and exceed client expectations. We accomplish this through considerable effort and expense into the management and maintenance of our Quality Management System and the involvement of our employees who support and uphold the Quality Management System.

NQCEC first attained ISO-9001-2008 Quality Management Requirements certification in June 2004, and continued ongoing recertification until most recently recertifying to ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management System standard in Dec 2010.

PROTECTING OUR Environment

NQCEC recognises the importance of implementing measures to mitigate or eliminate impact to our environment.

Environmental management planning is integrated into all our business activities and is guided by policy.

NQCEC also has an established environmental management system fully accredited to AS/NZ ISO 14001.

All projects undertaken by NQCEC are specifically evaluated with a documented project specific Environmental Management Plan (EMP) established and maintained. The Health, Safety and Environmental Management System has been developed in order to improve NQCEC’s environmental performance and defines the framework for the effective management of the identified environmental aspects of our business activities.

The Environmental Management Plan provides practical procedures in a suitable framework to facilitate the successful implementation of environmental management practices to ensure environmental management objectives are achieved on any project delivered by the company.

Our Key Environmental Objectives

  • To establish specific standards and procedures to reduce the adverse impact of construction activities to the environment.
  • To ensure compliance with the clients standards, specifications and expected environmental protection requirements through the use of practical procedures that are consistently and uniformly achievable.
  • To outline the actions to be carried out during the construction of the works whilst maintaining acceptable environmental protection measures.
  • To undertake all construction work in accordance with the NQCEC Environmental Policy Statement.

INTEGRATION

An integrated management system is in development incorporating Quality Health, Safety and Environment based on – ISO AS/NZ 9001-2008; AS/NZ 4801 – 2001; ISO 14001-2004. It will be published on completion and adoption by the company.

NQCEC are accredited with full compliance to all of these standards.
